Meetings!

I was reading a book about leadership, then a mentor send me a podcast of leadership were I heard the same thing!

It basically said: if you’re not enjoying the meetings in your workplace or your ministry meetings. If you don’t like logistics, the saying hi’s and goodbyes, the cleaning and planning, etc. Then you’re not in the right place or (I’m adding this) in the right perspective. We should enjoy where God planted us. We should enjoy people and planning. We should enjoy ideas, smart people around us and vision. We should enjoy culture, unity and the part where we sacrifice things, time and in some cases money/investment.

I have been in meetings since I was probably 11 years old. Now working fully in ministry I have enjoyed staff meeting with 2 people or with 80+ people. My goal is to have a staff meeting with 300 people, one day someday, I already dreamed it. But that's a story for another time. The podcast continued saying: maybe you’re doing something wrong, maybe you keep doing it the same way for years, maybe you weren’t call for this and that’s okay. I feel this is the year where you get into the shoes that fit! This is the year we make changes that will empower our purpose! This is the year we fix our perspective and attitude, this is the year we focus on pleasing no one but God, this is the year we say yes and amen not only to the attractive parts of your calling but to the muddy seasons too. In the beginning of 2019 The spirit of God confronted me by saying: Priscilla, that place where everyone wants to go to be with me, you know the name of that place?

I replied: of course, Heaven! Can’t wait .

He continues, you know in my place (heaven) we party hard when ONE soul genuinely comes to JESUS.

I replied: yes, I understand .

He said: are you doing the same? Will you get excited and give your life just for one?

... Don’t worry about quantity, now heaven is partying and partnering with you.

Me: (in tears) time to party with heaven!

I hope we all understand that whatever we do for the kingdom of God actually counts. But, bringing a soul to him is worthy of massive joy and celebration. Some will sow the seed, some will grow them with water (discipleship), and some will enjoy the fruit (Keep spreading the gospel) . We, the light of the world must keep growing and one day it will be so bright the only thing we will see is the KING in front of us, dancing with us, enjoying his presence, enjoying this massive encounter. Furthermore, I enjoyed so much this meeting before #CCPCU20 Our ministry conference in Cuba. For me every meeting is important and full of purpose. My job is to create meaningful meetings. What If we had only today? How about we start glorifying God now and feel his presence now till that moment we speak his word? If we had only two more meetings left... in our lives, how excited would you be? Would you prepare for those two last ones? Why?

I am so thankful for the opportunity we had, not only, to planned and partner this vision with volunteers from Cuba! But I’ve been to many meetings in my young-adult life and Cuban people where always ON TIME and ready to serve. It has impacted me to another level, the reality is that this is all about the heart, perspective and calling. Lastly I will share a mexican saying "El que quiere, puede".
